Minutes <br />Planning Commission Regular Meeting <br />Monday, March 16, 2026, 6:00 PM <br />City Council Chambers 2780 Kelley Parkway, Orono, MN 55356 <br />The Planning Commission is requested to review the Staff report, receive a presentation, and discuss and <br />approve a small addition for a bay window. Staff recommends approval based on the configuration and <br />the closest residential structure presenting an unusual average Lakeshore setback. <br />The Planning Commission discussed the item and asked questions of staff. The applicant was not present. <br />Chair Ressler opened the public hearing at 6:10 p.m. <br />There were no Public Comments. <br />Chair Ressler closed the public hearing at 6:10 p.m. <br />Commissioners noted the small size of the proposed addition and the practical difficulty of the extremely <br />small buildable area on the property. <br />Prchal moved, Weltzin seconded, to approve LA26-000006, 2090 Shoreline Dr. Average Lakeshore <br />Setback Variance as applied. VOTE: Ayes: 6, Nays: 0. <br />6. OTHER ITEMS <br />Community Development Director Oakden discussed an April work session and said she would poll <br />members for dates. <br />7.
