§ 6.01 <br />H. "Driveway Turnaround" means a paved or otherwise <br />clearly delineated area which is part of or connected to a driveway <br />or driveway approach, on private property, sufficient in size for <br />an automobile or other vehicle to turn 180 degrees without leaving <br />the paved or delineated area. <br />I. "Frontage" means the lot line abutting a public <br />or private street. <br />J. "Parcel of Land" means a lot or contiguous lots <br />or a tract officially registered under one ownership. <br />K. "Private Road" means any street or roadway which <br />has not been dedicated to public use, or which is not maintained by <br />public funds, but which is open to travel pursuant to an easement <br />between persons or between a person or persons and the City. <br />L. "Public Road" means the entire area dedicated to <br />public use, or contained in a plat, an easement or other <br />conveyance, grant or by adverse possession, to the City or other <br />governmental body, and shall include, but not be limited to, <br />roadways, boulevards, sidewalks, alleys, and other public property <br />between lateral property lines in which a roadway lies. Where <br />traveled public roadways exist in a location not shown on the <br />platting map, the right-of-way shall not be less than ten (10) feet <br />wide on each side of the actual paved or traveled roadway surface. <br />Ordinance 54, 2nd Series <br />Adopted: 7-25-88 <br />SEC. 6. 0 2. APPLICATION. The prov is ions of City Code, <br />Chapters 6, 7 and 8, are applicable to the drivers of all vehicles <br />and animals upon streets and private roads, including, but not <br />limited to, those owned or operated by the United States, the State <br />of Minnesota, or any county, town, city, district, or other <br />political subdivision. <br />SEC. 6.03. SCOPE AND ORDERS OF OFFICERS. <br />Subd. 1. Scope. The provisions of Chapters 6, 7 and 8 <br />relate exclusively to the streets, alleys and private roads in the <br />City, and the operation and parking of vehicles refer exclusively <br />to the operation and parking of vehicles upon such streets, alleys <br />and private roads. <br />Subd. 2. Orders of an Officer. It is a misdemeanor for <br />any person to willfully fail or refuse to comply with any lawful <br />order or direction of any police or peace officer invested by law <br />with authority to direct, control or regulate traffic. <br />ORONO CC 140-1 <br />(4-1-84) <br />(7-25-88)
