§ 11.03 <br />a. "Principal Arterial" -A roadwaY, intended <br />to connect urban subregions with one another, connect urban and <br />rural service areas with ·metro centers, to connect outstate cities. <br />b. "Intermediate Arterial" -.A roadway <br />intended to connect two or.more subregions; provide sesondary <br />connections outstate; complements principal arterials in high <br />volume ~corridors. <br />c. "Minor Arterial" -A roadway intended to <br />connect adjacent subregions and activity centers within subregions. <br />d. "Collector" -A roadway intended to connect <br />neighborhoods within and between subregions. · <br />e. "Local" -A roadway intended to connect <br />blocks within neighborhoods and specific activities withi~ <br />homogeneous land use areas. <br />f. "Parkway" -A roadway intended to provide <br />low speed and low volume vehicular or bicycle access to or through <br />recreational areas, parks, and lakeshore. <br />g. "Roadway-Deadend" -A roadway with only one <br />(1) vehicular-traffic outlet. <br />h. "Roadway, Private" -A roadway for which <br />the City ·or other political subdivision shall not be responsible <br />for its maintenance and operation. <br />i. "Roadway, Public" -Any roadway for which <br />the City or other political subdivision is or expects to be <br />responsible for its maintenance and operation. <br />52. "Roadway Right-of-Way Width" -The distance <br />between property lines measured at right angles to the center line <br />of the roadway. <br />53. "Sale or Lease" -Any immediate or future <br />transfer of ownership, or any possessory interest in land, <br />including contract of sale, lease, device, intestate succession, of <br />an interest in a tract of land or part thereof, whether by metes <br />and bounds, deed, contract, plat, map, judicial decree or other <br />written instrument. Lease of land for agricultural purposes, which <br />land does not include the use of or future construction of a <br />building is excluded. <br />54. "Single ownership" -Ownership by the same <br />person, corporation, firm, entity, partnership, or unincorporated <br />association; or ownership by different corporations, firms, <br />partnerships, entities or unincorporated associations, in which a <br />stockholder, partner, or associate, or a member of his family owps <br />an interest in each corporation, firm, partnership, entity or <br />unincorporated association. <br />ORONO CC 422 (4-1-84)
