Date: March 9, 2026 Item: 14 <br />Presenter: Adam Edwards, City Administrator / Engineer <br />Section: Mayor and Council Report <br /> <br />Title: Hosting Braver Angels Event <br /> <br /> <br />1.Purpose: <br />The purpose of this item is to request council support for the city to co-hosting an upcoming <br />Braver Angles event with the City of Long Lake. <br />2.Background: <br />The Mayors of Orono and Long Lake have coordinated to have Braver Angels put on an event <br />titled : How Do We Find Community in Our Differences <br />Thursday, April 23 6-8:30 p.m. (Doors open at 6 pm) <br />Orono Community Center, 795 N. Old Crystal Bay Road Long Lake, MN 55356 <br />In a time of deep cultural and political divides, building community across differences is <br />challenging.
