Lotion, Ayes (5) - Ilays (0) . <br />Cheyenne Land Company - Henry f4uhich, Building & <br />Zoning Administrator, reviewed the various <br />staff reports that had previously been submitted <br />to the City Council and Planninq Commission <br />concerning this application for rezoning. iie <br />stated that he had _inspected the property in <br />question on four separate occasions and that on <br />one of those occasions he was almost involved <br />in a car accident while attempting to drive <br />from Highway #12 onto Orono Orchard Road. Ile <br />noted that three cars were waiting in front of <br />him to take a left hand turn onto Orono Orchard <br />Road and several ears were attempting to come <br />from Orono Orchard Road onto Highway #12. This <br />area has always been known as being hazardous in <br />nature and such a development would increase the <br />traffic flow measurably at this dangerous point. <br />Mayor Searles noted that this area has alw,.ys <br />been dangerous for pedestrians and vehicular <br />traffic. iluhich noted that another dangerous <br />traffic point was the overpass on Orono Orchard <br />Road. At the overpass, only one car is able to <br />travel and on several occasions he has met other <br />cars there and has :-ad to pull over to allow them <br />to pass under the b,idge. <br />Muhich stated that he spent half the day walking <br />through the project cn one cc anion and noted <br />that the project is very hilly in nature and <br />there are numerous marshlands and wetlands <br />throughout the property.
