Memo to Planning Commission .._ !%uulic Hearing <br />Continuation Comp Plan #2 Dated February 13, <br />1987 <br />ISSUE - Consideration of Comprehensive Plan Amendment for <br />preliminary approval by City Council for submission to Pietro <br />Council and abutting jurisdictions for their input as it relates <br />to co,formance to metropolitan systems. <br />INTRODUCTION - On February 2nd and February 17, 1987, the <br />Planning Commission held a public hearing on Attachment A with <br />their comments regarding their recommendations as noted in <br />Attachment F. Planring Commission recommendations are also noted <br />below. <br />Prior to submission to Metro Council, it is appropriate, although <br />not required, that the Council grant their preliminary approval <br />to this document. Following Comprehensive Plan amendment if any <br />and adoption by Metro Counci 1, it wi 1. 1 be returned to the City <br />for the final adoption by the City Council. <br />It should be noted that Attachment B out .Iinr a request for delay <br />by an attorney for one of the significant property owners, Sid <br />Rebers, as they are not able to attend thr, meeting on the 30th. <br />Given the fact that a number of communi _ies particularly Long <br />Lake have been invitee to he in attendance at the 31th meeting, <br />staff felt it appropriate that the Council consider the majority <br />of parcels in the corridor an,i their ov-�r.al l look ,at the plan on <br />the 3;pth, and then tahle cons itleratinn on parcel #4 until their <br />April 27, 1987 meeting for further input from Mr. Rebers together <br />with any other interested partias.
