ORONO COUNCIL I1EL*'I'tW U=Z OCTOBER 12, 1976 <br />Paqe 15 <br />A proposed amendment to the dog ordinance was <br />deferred to the meeting of October 25, 1976. <br />r ! <br />Mr. Gregg Frank, City Engineer, informed the <br />City Council that the City of Minnetonka Beach <br />has asked us to contact you in regard to obtaining <br />an agreement between Orono end Minnetonka Beach <br />to interconnect their wate A0 ibution systems. <br />The proposed connPc-Cion point would be at the <br />east end of Navarre Lane as shown on thy: attached <br />D_ lan. As shown on the plain, valves vobld be <br />..stalled at the connection point and this tine <br />.:ould be normally closed. In the event of an <br />emergency in either City, such as a major fire <br />or well failure, the vAlVe on the line would be <br />opened and water could be supplied from either <br />Orono to Minnetonka Beach or vice versa. <br />PROPOSED DOG ORDINANCE <br />ORONO-MII4NETONKA BEACH <br />Water Connection <br />Butler moved, Searles seconded, to instruct the <br />City staff to complete an agreement with [Minnetonka <br />Beach to interconnect the two water systems subject <br />to all costs related to this construction will be <br />borne by 14inn- `onka Beach. Motion, Ayes (4) - flays (0) . <br />11, Brnd Van Nest, Planning Commission member and <br />Cc..,)rehensive Sewer Plan Representative, discussed <br />the preliminary Comprehensive Sewer Plan as drafted <br />by ficCombs-Knutson, City Engineers. Mayor Searles <br />instructed the City Engineer to finalize the <br />preparation of the Sewer Plan for the next Planning <br />Cor,unission meeting, October 18, 1976.
