The plan included swales in the front yard <br />_rea to divert drainage away from the lake. A retaining wall <br />in the back lot area was i.ncluvied, for the purix-)se of diverting <br />drainage across the road, into a ra.ural ponding area on the <br />other side of the street, instead of it flowing into the ad- <br />jacent low area of a neighboring property. The men stated that <br />3S truck loads of fill would be needed on the whole site of <br />which S truck loads would be needed within the 75 ft. lake- <br />tiore setback in order- to make a 2S ft. taper from the house. <br />-hey also noted that there used to be five cabins at the site <br />and when they were taken dawn the natural drainage was des- <br />troyed. The Commission felt that the retaining wall could <br />be the means of blocking a natural ponding area. McDonald <br />moved, Woolley seceded, that the Planning Cxxwission recom- <br />mend to the Council approval of the fill and drainage plan <br />of Odd R.ovick with the following stipulations: (1) That the <br />plan allow only the normal fill and grading required for the <br />house plan previously presented to the City.
