32587.2 <br />TO: Mayor and City Council <br />6i ,R 3 0 1987 <br />FROM: Mark Bernhardson, City Administrate <br />rho sy� <br />DATE: March 25, 1987 - ORONO <br />SUBJECT: Administrator's Items <br />LIQUOR STORE SALE BIDS - The bids were opened for sale of the <br />.;uor store at 11:00 o'clock on Wednesday, March 25, 1987. The <br />total bide were as follows: (the minimum base bid for inventory <br />was $82,127.50) <br />Total Bid <br />1. Steve Corl $137,500.90 <br />2. Ashbeck-Guth, Inc. 118,691.27 <br />3. Dunlap/Martin 110,202.50 <br />The City wi-1 be reviewing these bids to determine if the <br />highest bidder is the highest qualified bidder with reviewing the <br />issues regarding licensing. There is an issue regarding <br />published formal notice which will be reviewed between now and <br />the April 13th meeting to determine if it has a material effect <br />or not on the bidding process. <br />VEST DONATION kROGRAM - The City has receive' a total of <br />$2,700.00 out of the needed approximately $4,500.00 for vests for <br />all the Police Officers. The Chief has distributed letters to <br />the various civic organizationr which serve the City and is <br />currently awaiting responses. <br />POLICE RESERVE RECOGNITION - At your February 27, 1987 Council <br />meeting tF-e- issue T possible City funding for the volunteers <br />including the Police Reserve was discussed. It was Council's <br />direction, however, at that point that private donations for this <br />ty, of activity .c sought. To date approximately $230.00 has <br />been donated wit. additional money being anticipated. It is <br />anticipated that this recognition will be held toward the end of <br />April for the Police Reserve. <br />MEDINA/COUNTY ROAD 116 EXTENSION - At the City of Medina's <br />Council meeo:nq Tia id-daicFi-1�-T��7 there was opposition to the <br />extension of 116 in attendance. Following substantial discussion <br />the issue was agreeded to be tabled until the April 21. 1987 <br />meeting, <br />HIGHWKY UPGRADE TASK FORCE - A meeting has been established by <br />t-�Meyo 7 -RapTePT-a-Fri-Twir Mond3 y, April 24, 1981 at 7119 p.m. <br />in the Maple Plain City Council Chambers, The purpose of this <br />meeting is to invite Coun.•il members, Planning Commission <br />members, and staff to a presentation b, the Chamber of Commerce <br />of Willmar and their program regarding Highway 12 upgrade.
