- Range of Housing Opportunities - Given the fact <br />that many oUthe more marginal residential <br />structures are in the community presently are the <br />only means of affordable housing that the City <br />should in the next 2 years develop a stategy for <br />doing something regarding affordable housing. In <br />part the rehab grants have helped accomplish this <br />purpose, but some of the housing is getting to the <br />point it is no longer economically viable to fix -up <br />and it may be appropriate in some areas to look at <br />sponsoring development of more affordable housing <br />which may include areas such as the Highway 12 <br />corridor area or Navarre. <br />b) Navarre Area/Commercial Area - In this area it is <br />recommended that the staff engage in a review of the tax <br />increment possibilities, working together as a catalyst <br />to develop a plan for the entire area over I - ^xt six <br />months. <br />c) Highway_12 Corridor Study. - That as an element of <br />this comprehensive review, look is to see what if any <br />thing is appropriate for municipal involvement in the <br />development of that area, particularly as it may relate <br />to a range of housing opportunities. <br />
