S-P TESTING., INC. Steven B. Schirmers - MPCA Cert. No. 627
951 Katydid Lane NE - St. Michael, MN 55376 - (612) 497-3566
FAX (612) 497-5011
State License #394
July 20, 1996 , 1
Ery Cam
763 No.Femdale
Orono, Henn. Co., MN
This site has an existing failing system which is surface discharging which is an
imminent health hazard and must be repaired or disconnected within 10 months. Soil
Borings completed in the area of the existing system found saturated soil (mottled soil)
less than 3' from the bottom of the system which also classifies this system as failed. A
new system will need to be installed.
This On -Site Sewage Treatment System is Designed for a Type 1, four bedroom home
in accordance with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Chapter 7080 and local
ordinances.
The soils on this site are SCS soils mapped - HcC2 - Hayden Gay loam. The seasonally
saturated soils were located at 62" & 68" (mottled soil). The bottom of the treatment
area must be located at least 3' above the seasonally saturated soils. A Standard
Trench System may be installed north of the house.
The soils at a depth of 24" & 30" have a percolation rate averaging 18.2 mpi.
A pumping chamber will need to be installed to lift the septic effluent to the treatment
area. The power supply and switches must be located outside the manhole and
pumping chamber in a weather proof enclosure. A warning device must be installed with
a light and sound device, this is in case of a pump failure.
All neighboring wells are located greater than 100' away from the proposed treatment
area.
