I . I VI RODUCT I (N, <br />This is a preliminary soils evaluation and plan review or the prcpo!;cd <br />D. F. Vetter Addition in the City of Orono. <br />A detailed soils map for the area of proposed development is provide-d <br />with this report. This map is based on information contained in "Soil <br />Survey of Hennepin County" and "Landscapes of Hennepin County" as well <br />as 105 aerial photographs of the area and an on -site investigation. <br />Each of the soils mapped within the proposed development area is briefl% <br />described. Favorable and unfavorable development characteristics are <br />discussed. Explanations of the soil map s,,mbols and colors are pre- <br />sented in Sections II and III. <br />This is a prelininary soils evaluation and additional engine.-ering tests <br />should be conducted before construction is begun. <br />The potential of the soils mapped for installation of on -site soil treat- <br />ment systems is discussed. <br />Methods for control of runoff and sediment from this site are discussc-l. <br />I. HOW TO USL ME SOIL MAP <br />To use the soil map one needs to laiow what the symbols mean.
