OUTSTANDING ISSUES <br />Staff/Board Relationshlp - As you may recall during the <br />summer of 1986 the Board had indicated problems of <br />working with staff and had been directed in September of <br />1966 to work with staff to address those issues. To <br />date the Board has not availed itself of that <br />opportunity. <br />- Fish House Storage- Fish houses that were stored on <br />the Island during the winter of 185-186 have as of this <br />date been removed according to the Big Island Board of <br />Governors. They are of the understanding that these are <br />not to be brought back to the Island. <br />- Status of work to Date - The staff has requested an <br />update of the work that has been done during the past <br />year by the Big Island Board of Governors. The City is <br />awaiting receipt of this report. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that the Big Island Board of <br />Governors be directed to submit the formal application for their <br />master plan by January 31, V9 7 for consideration at the February <br />17, 1987 Planning Commissior meeting with a summary presentation <br />of the master plan at the Council's February 9, 1987 meeting. It <br />1s additionally recommended that the hazardous buildings <br />proceedings be held in abeyance for the next two months to <br />monitor progress on the master plan consideration. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by secorded by , that the Big <br />Island Board of Governors De directed to submit the formal <br />application for their master plan by January 31. 1987 for <br />consideration at the February 17, 1987 Planning Commission <br />meeting with a summary presentation of the master plan at the <br />Council's February 9, 1987 meeting. It is additionally directed <br />that the hazardous buildings proceedings be held in abeyance <br />until March 9. 1987 to monitor progress on the master plan <br />consideration.
