1787.3 � / <br />TO: Mayor and City Council Crilf'((1 MEETING <br />FROM: Mark Bernhardson, City Administrator\�1 Y JAN 121987 <br />DATE: January 7, 1987 CITY OF ORONO <br />SUBJECT: Confirmation of Siren Bid Correction <br />ISSUE - Confirmation of siren bid for emergency preparedness <br />purposes based on a price change of one component. <br />DISCUSSION - At the December 8, 1986 Council meeting the Council <br />approved the award of a emergency preparedness siren to be <br />located in the Navarre area. The award in total including a <br />steel pole was for the amount of $12,418. This however, was in <br />error as there iiad been a price change on the relay switch that <br />is a separate component in the item. This increases the total to <br />$13,315. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that the Council approve this <br />change in the siren bid for a total amount of $13,315. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by _ , seconded by , to award the bid <br />to Electric :.,irvice Company in the revised amount of $13,315. for <br />the siren transfer switch and steel pole. as , Nays <br />cc: Mel Kllbo, Police Chief <br />Tom Kuehn, Finance Director <br />
