12486.8 <br />^O: mayor and City Council <br />FROM: nark Bernhardson, City Administratoot <br />DATE: December 4, 1986 <br />SUBJECT: Crystal Bay Appeals Judgement Settlement <br />fciir [i� MEETING <br />DEC 81986 <br />t4TY OF ORONO <br />ISSUE - Formal approval for payment of judgement settlement costs <br />ordered by the Court for the Crystal Bay sewer appeals. <br />DISCUSSION - As you are aware the appellants had asked for <br />cectaTn costs related to their suit and initially these costs <br />were in excessive of $10,888 for filing fees and expert witness <br />testimony and whereas the Court has ordered that these be set at <br />$6,648.63 that the Council authorize payment of this amount to be <br />pair' to plaintiff's attorney by December 15, 1986. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by _, seconded by _, to authorize staff <br />to pay judgement costs for Crystal Bay sewers in the amount of <br />$6,648.63 to the attorney for the plaintiffs in the matter based <br />on the Court's amended order regarding judgement costs.
