Bernhardson, City Administrator
Orono Council Members
Ladies and Gentlemen:
This is to notify you of Washington Scientific's status and plans regarding
the installation of a sprinkler system at the main facility located at 2605
West Wayzata Boulevard.
A. Status.
Our Board of Directors met on August 27, 1986, and approved the capital
plan for fiscal 1987. Subsequently, a capital retest for the funds to
install the sprinkler system was initiated and approved by the top manage-
ment, including Mr. Bill Lucke, Vice President, and Mr. Cliff Dinsmore,
President. The approval was finalized on September 3, 1986.
B. Plans.
Our Engineering Department has initiated the necessary steps to install
the sprinkler system.
1. A plumbing contractor has been selected to quote on installing the
water mains.
2. The sprinkler contractor visited the facility to finalize his quote.
3. Our insurance broker is in the process of finalizing the specifications.
At this time we are confident that the installation will be completed by
January 1, 1987.
I trust that this confirms Washington Scientific's commitment to provide sprinkler
protection for the main facility.
Sincerely,
WAS
INGTON SCI 99TIFIC INDUSTRIES
w
Ane
ganaMa r ng Engineering
cc: C.
