10286.1
TO: Mayor and City Council l; T 0p
FROM: Mark Bernhardson, City Administratot,V Z
DATE: October 2, 1986
SUBJECT: Highway 12 Corridor Study Meeting - Wednesday, November
12, 1986 - 7:30 P.M. - Orono School Cafeteria
The next meeting for the corridor study will be held November
12th at the School Cafeteria. At that meeting the following
issues will be presented and discussed:
A. Sewer Units
1. Allocated capacity
2. Existing Orono capacity
3. Long Lake capacity
B. Land Use Densities
C. Transportation Plan
n. Implementation
1. Comprehensive Plan amendment - MUSA line
2. Performance standards of development
3. Rezoning
4. Sewer allocation
E. Moritorium
It is hoped at that meeting that the issue of general land use
densities and the means for allocation of existing sewer will be
undertaken plus the general direction as to how rezoning of
existing properties in accordance with the desired Comprehensive
Plan can be undertaken. It is suggested that the land use issue
will be set with a maximum density for each area, but prior to
any rezoning it would require the applicant to demonstrate they
have sufficient sewer capacity either through their allocation,
taking existing allocation from another property owner or working
through the City to negotiate with Long Lake/Medina on other
available units.
cc: John Shardlow, Dahlgren, Shardlow, Uban
Jeanne Mabucth, Zoning Administrator
Michael Gaffron, Assistant Zoning Administrator
John Gerhardson, Public Works Coordinator
