Coupling this with the Council's past direction of utilizing
sewer only when it is the option of last resort.
As is the case with Howard Hull should the Council choose to
amend the direction in handling properties abutting sewer, it
would necessitate the following:
- Determination of the cost for hookup
- Determination of committed allocation for this
property
- Comprehensive Plan amendment
RECOMMENDATION - Based on past direction and consideration and
number of similarly situated properties in the area and the
concern for capacity, st'-ff recommends that Council continue with
the policy of utilization of sewer for rural properties in the
rural zone only when sewer is the only available option from a
technical and/or economical standpoint. Recommendation is
further based on the fact that Council denied this application in
November of 1985 and that the fact situation regarding the
property has not changed substantially.
PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by `, seconded by `, to direct staff to
:e-draft a denial for sewer to this property with appropriate
amendments from the Stebbins' denial back in November of 1985.
Ayes _, Nays __
