40-4. The heating plants shall be gas -fired, forced -air <br />furnaces with belt -driver, blowers (minimum size 1/2 hp), <br />Lr- ox or equal, 80% efficiency. <br />40 The air conditioners shall be electric, high <br />efficiency units. Verify location of condensing units <br />with the Owner. <br />40-6. Zone dampers shall be Trol-a-Temp; Thermostat <br />shall be Honeywell. <br />40-7. Trunk lines shall be galvanized metal, properly <br />stiffened and supported to prevent drumming. Warm air <br />feeder lines may be round pipe. Return -air feeder lines <br />may be boxed -in joist or stud spaces. Insulate plenums <br />and provide canvas boot between plenums and furnaces to <br />minimize sound transmission. <br />40-8. Registers shall be Lima or equal; warm air registers <br />shall have manual dampers. Locate openings to avoid <br />interference with drapes, etc. <br />40-9. System shall be designed to minimize objectionable <br />noises and ibrations. <br />40-10. After house is occupied, completely balance the <br />system. <br />40-11. Vent all bath fans and Kitchen hood; provide dryer <br />vent; all vents shall be insulated ar,.: have back -draft <br />dampers. <br />40.12. Provide and install a gas -fired, 100000 BTU unit <br />heater in garage. Provide wall thermostat and all controls <br />as necessary. Vent through garage roof. <br />40-13. Provide and install Aprilaire Humidifier for each <br />furnace, complete with remote humdistat (located adjacent <br />to thermostats). <br />40-14. Provide and install Honeywell or equal electronic <br />filter for each furnace, complete with all controls. <br />40-15. Provide and install al` gas piping from gas meter <br />for furnaces and water heater. <br />
