18-6. This contractor shall be responsible for the clean- <br />liness of the brick after completion. <br />18-7. This contractor shall provide all necessary lintels. <br />19. STRUCTURAL STEEL <br />19-1. Provide steel beams (A-36 steel), splice plates, <br />bearing plates and columns as shown, all shop primed. <br />20. SHEET METAL <br />20.1 Ali flashing shall be 26 gauge galvanized metal <br />including chimney flashing, window and door head flashing, <br />valleys, shingle tins, etc. <br />20.2 Provide and install duct work for all fans including <br />all bath fans, dryer vent, and the kitchen exhaust fan. <br />Vent fans through roof or wall. Screw and tape all joints, <br />and wrap ducts in unheated areas with insulation. <br />21. ROOFING <br />21-1. Roofing shall be 41 Red Cedar, 1/2 to 3/4 x 24, hand <br />split shakes. Boston type hips and ridges; closed valleys. <br />Nail with galvanized nails or staples. <br />21-2. Cover roof sheathing with 15# asphalt felt. Lay 304 <br />felt under each shingle course. Install Certainteed or <br />equal ice and water shield at all eaves. <br />22. LUMBER <br />22-1. All dimension lumber shall be kiln -dried *2 and <br />better Spruce -Pine -Fir. Any barked or crooked lumber shall <br />not be used. <br />22-2. Floor joists shall be kiln -dried #2 and better West <br />Coast Douglas Fir. <br />22-3. Sub -floor - CD Fir Plyscore, exterior grade; minimum <br />4 ply. <br />22-4. wall and roof sheathing-plyscore, exterior grade; <br />minimum 4 ply. <br />22-5. Sill sealer - 1/2 x 6 fiberglass <br />22-6. Bridging - 1 x 3 wood <br />22-7. Basement frame wall bottom plates and foundation <br />sill plates - tr!ated. <br />22-8. Air Infiltration Barrier (all exterior walls) - <br />Tyve!� or equal. <br />22-9. Siding 1/2 x 6 smooth, "A" grade smooth Cedar. <br />22-10. Soffit and -upola material - exterior grade AC Fir <br />plywood. <br />22-11. Exterior frieze. corner boards, window and door <br />trim - "D" and btr. smooth Cedar. <br />22-12. Dentil moulding - clear Redwood. <br />22-13. Roof trusses shall be ±ln-dried, West Coast Douglas <br />Fir. Galvanized metal connec, : plates. D,sign loads shall <br />be in accord with UBC. Provide truss layout for Contract- <br />or's approval before manufacture. <br />22-14. Roof vents - plastic, gray color. <br />22-15. Soffit vents - aluminum, screened <br />22-16. Garage storage units and tool wall - 3/4 AC Fir <br />Plywood. <br />22-17. Porch ceilinv - 1 x 6 clear Redwood, V-joint, T&G. <br />22-18. Weather Vane - Allow $100.00 <br />
