SPECIFICATIONS <br />1. SCOPE <br />1-1. These plans and specifications cover the labor and <br />materials necessary for the construction of a residence for <br />Hr. and Mrs. Leo Hauser, the Owner, on their property <br />located in the City of Orono, 14N. The Plans referred <br />to herein are sheets 1 thru 6, dated September 15. 1989, <br />prepared by Jasper & Associates. <br />1-2. All work shall be executed in a •iorkmanlike manner <br />and shall conform in all respects to the plans and spec- <br />ifications. <br />2. CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br />2-1. The plans, elevations, sections and detail drawings, <br />together with these specifications, shall form the basis of <br />the contracts, both, between the Owner and the General <br />Contractor, and the GC and his subcontractors. <br />2-2. Should anything be mentioned in these specs but not <br />shown on the drawings, or visa -versa, the same shall <br />be followed as if set forth in both. Should the drawings <br />and specs conflict, then the specs shall govern. <br />3. WARRANTY. <br />3-1. The GC shall guarantee the materials and workmanship <br />for a period of one year from the date of occupancy or <br />completion, whichever occurs first. <br />3-2. Manufacturers' warrantees on equipment shall apply <br />notwithstanding. <br />4. INSURANCE <br />4-1. The GC shall provide liability and workmens compensa- <br />tion insurance, in full, until completion of his contract. <br />4-2. The Owner shall provide fire, glass breakages, <br />vandalism and windstorm insurance during construction and <br />shall name the GC as co-insured. <br />5. SURVEY <br />5-1. The Owner shall provide the survey. <br />5-2. The Owner ff:iall have the house staked and elevation <br />established. <br />6. PERMITS <br />6-1. The GC shall provide the building permit and any <br />other necessary permits. <br />6-2. The subcontractors shall apply and pay for their own <br />permits. <br />7. TESTS <br />7-1. The Owner shall pay for any tests that may be <br />required such as soils, materials strength, etc. <br />8. TEMPORARY FACILITIES <br />8-1. The GC shall provide and pay for temporary heat, <br />water and electricity required during construction. <br />
