3. When Improvements are Required: <br />a) Completed engineering drawings for improvements (road, sewer, <br />water, drainage, landscaping, etc.). <br />b) Payment of engineering review fees. <br />Land Use Applications <br />Page 2 <br />c) Completed development agreement. <br />d) Posting of acceptable form of security with the City - <br />performance bond or letter of credit. <br />e) Warrantee bond (for public improvements). <br />The Municipal Code of Orono provides that directly assignable <br />consultant costs for review of applications must be paid by the <br />applicant. <br />The application fee paid to the City is payment for City Staff <br />time and overhead costs only. The applicant will be billed by the City <br />for the City Engineer's time and expenses incurred in the review of <br />engineering data and for the City Attorney's time and expenses <br />incurred in the review of legal questions and documents. Other <br />unusual charges may be applied for outside consulting services of <br />appraisers, other engineers, and unusual technical reports after <br />notification to the applicant that such services are considered <br />necessary for proper review of the application. <br />In making_an application, the applicant shall agree to pay these <br />costs as they occur. Applications are not considered complete until <br />any charges are paid. Failure to complete payment may result in the <br />withholding of permits or other authotizations. <br />Jeanne A.
