Attached please find a copy of the history on the Island that may <br />lend some background. <br />PROPOSED MOTION Moved by _, seconded by _, that the Council <br />give the `ollowing repsonse to the issues raised by the Big <br />Island Boa -' of Governors: <br />a. Staff continue to issue one permit per building in <br />accordance with the UBC. <br />b. That Council not waive fees on existing buildings as <br />other ono profits have been consistently charged in the <br />past. <br />That the staff continue to process citations on the <br />fist,, houses that were failed to be removed. <br />J. Big Island Board of Governors be directed to include <br />any request of hiking trails via an appropriate <br />conditional use permit per City �. finance. <br />e. That the City Council reiterate the support for <br />ordinance lan3uage requiring a variance to fix up any <br />nonconforming structure when more than 50% of the <br />contractors value is r,quir-�d to rehab. <br />f. That the Council <br />state for the r( <br />rd that it is <br />their <br />policy that the <br />Big Island Board . <br />overnors will <br />have <br />an adequate time <br />to present a rede <br />lopment master <br />plan <br />for the property <br />which is based on <br />Marc` 6 action <br />is to <br />December 31, 1986. <br />The Big Island Board of Governors again be <br />enccuraged to work with staff to resolve differenc^s <br />they may have. <br />h.
