Additional <br />parking is not required for proposed structure. <br />Loading Facilities: <br />The proposed accessory structure is designed as a loading <br />facility and storage area, therefore, the following items have been <br />reviewed pursuant to Orono Municipal Code Section 10.50, Subdivision 5 <br />(H). <br />1. Amount Required - The existing structure has a loading <br />faiclity which is located on the east side of the structure - its <br />main purpose is for unloading raw materials and shipping finished <br />materials. The proposed structure will be used for both loading <br />of waste materials to be transported and unloading some raw <br />materials. The addej loading facilities are needed for the <br />operation of the principle use. <br />2. Design - The design of this type of use includes traffic <br />patterns of the transport vehicles. The traffic pattern will be <br />through the parking lot. The vehicles used to pick up waste are <br />approximately 30' long and will cause no problems. <br />3. Location - The proposed facility is located at the rear of <br />the principle structure and will not encroach on required set- <br />backs. The berth is separated from off street parking by <br />fence. <br />Access: <br />Access to the property is existing and will not change. Access <br />to the proposed accessory structure is through the parking lot which <br />is allowed by Orono Codes. <br />Landscaping: <br />In talking with Mr. Pallansch, the proposed structure will be <br />cleaning up a storage area which has been an eye sore in the past, and <br />correcting a past violation of the City Ordinance (Section 10.60, <br />Subdivision 14 - Waste Materials). Exterior storage of pallets <br />should be screened from the public. <br />
