Zoning File #1051 <br />August 6, 1986 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />Staff would also note to the Council and to the homeowner that the <br />yard between the house and County Road 151 is considered by code definition <br />as the .front yard and that any accessory structures such as garages, pools, <br />etc. proposed to be located in that front yard would require a variance to <br />Section 10.03, Subdivision 9 (D). The alternative is for the Council, as <br />part of this variance proceeding, to designate the east yard as the front <br />(staff would suggest the requirement of a 50' setback) and designate the <br />west yard as rear. <br />A resolution reflecting Planning Commission and staff recomendations, <br />based on the west-front/east-rear yard designation, is attached for <br />Council's review, and can easily be revised to reflect your final action on <br />yard designations. <br />
