HIG ISLAND VETERANS GAUP <br />July 28, 1986 <br />Mayor <br />city of Orono <br />Orano, Minnesota <br />Dear Sir: <br />The Board of Governors of Big Island Veterans Camp <br />at its -regular meeting on June 19, 1986, reviewed on -going <br />relations with the City of Orono. <br />The consensus of the review was that there was a continuing <br />lack of effective "working together" communication between <br />the Board and the City. Our efforts to extend the <br />hand of cooperation was stated to you in our letter of <br />Feb. 1986 and continues. <br />Much of the concern seems to relate to activities of <br />the city staff not the elected cfficiats. At times these <br />activities seem to be harrassment and/or nit-picking <br />to many of our members. <br />This leads to yet another question, would the City be <br />interested in detaching our property from Orono pursuant <br />to existing statutes??
