AGREEMENT AND CONTRACT FOR <br />BUILDING INSPECTION SERVICES <br />This agreement is made and entered into this <br />day of , 19 , by and between the City of Orono, <br />Minnesota (hereinafter "Orono"); and the City of Wayzata (hereafter <br />"Wayzata") is made under and by virtue of Minnesota Statues 1971, <br />Chapter 561, Section 16.861. <br />Witnesseth: <br />WHEREAS, Wayzata is desirous of contracting with Orono for <br />the performance of the hereinafter specified building inspection <br />services within Wayzata; and <br />WHEREAS, Orono, has agreed to render such services on the <br />terms and conditions hereinafter set forth; and <br />WHEREAS, an agreement such as this is authorized under and <br />by virtue of the provisions of Minnesota Statutes Section 16.861, <br />Subdivision 1 and 2. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Orono agrees that it will provide building <br />inspection services for Wayzata subject to the following terms and <br />conditions: <br />1. Definition of Building Code. The "Building Code" <br />administered and enforced under the terms of this agreement shall <br />mean the current edition of the Minnesota Stat,! Building Code as <br />adopted by Minnesota Statutes Sections 16.83 t-:) 16.867 including <br />the following rules and codes adopted by reference therein; and <br />including revised or updated editions of said rules and codes as <br />may from time to time be duly adopted by the Sate: <br />A) 1982 Edition of the State Building Code ("SBC") rules <br />identified as 2 MCAR 1.0101 throught 2 MCAR 1.18901, <br />including SBC Appendix "A", Techni.cal. Requirements for <br />Fallout Shelters, and SBC Appendix "B", variations in Snow <br />I.,oads. <br />B) 1982 Edition of the Uniform Building Code, ("UBC") as <br />adopted by the State of Minnesota, including Appendix <br />Chapters 32, reroofing; 35, Sound Transmission Control; 49, <br />Patio Covers; 55, Membrane Structures; and 70, Excavation <br />and Grading. <br />Page 1 of <br />
