Mabusth, Zoning Administrator <br />July 8, 1986 <br />Subject: Bed and Breakfast Amendment <br />At your June 23rd meeting, Council members suggested that <br />the proposed standards should contain language concerning the <br />suitability or appropriateness of the structure to serve the Bed <br />and Breakfast use. Council agreed that the structure should have <br />historical or architectural significance. Orono has no <br />residential t uctures listed within the historica_ register nor <br />is their a local agency or group that designates residences for <br />historical or archictectural importance. Staff would suggest tie <br />following addition to the amendment: <br />11. Owner must demonstrate to the Council that the <br />residence structure has architectural or historical <br />significz a and may require supportive confirmation from <br />appropriate experts. <br />
