A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br />A V. RIANCE TO <br />MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.24, SUBDIVISION 5 (B) <br />FILE #1029 <br />WHEREAS, I.e� and Nei.la Clifford (hereinafter "the <br />applicants") are the owners of the property located at 4760 North <br />Shore Drive within the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") and legally <br />described as follows: <br />Lots 5 and 6, Block 3, Bergquist and Wicklund's Park, <br />(hereinafter "the property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for a <br />variance to Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.24, Subdivision 5 (B) to <br />approve the construction of a residence on a substandard lot of area <br />17,030 square feet where 43,560 square feet of area is required, and <br />width of 100 feet where a lot width of 140 feet is required. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counci 1 of Orono, <br />Minnesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1029. <br />2. The property is located in the LR-lB Single Family Lakeshore <br />Residential Zoning District. <br />3. This is a renewal application for variances granted <br />previously by the Council on November 13, 1984 per Resolution No. <br />1698 of record. The approval granted with that Resolution <br />expired on November 1.3, 1985 because the applicants failed to <br />apply for a building permit within the one-year time limit. <br />4. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on <br />May 19, 1986, and recommended approval of the proposed variance <br />based upon the following findings: <br />A) No other adjacent land is available to be combined wit'. <br />the property. <br />B) Sewer is available and the property has been :assessed <br />for footage and one sewer unit. <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
