Absent: Counci.lmembers Grabek and <br />Hammerel.. The following represented the City staff: <br />APR 1It1986 City Administrator Bernhardson, Public Works Coordinator <br />Gerhardson, Building & Zoning Administrator Mabusth, <br />AEsistartt Zoning Administrator Gaffron, Building <br />CITY OF ORONO Inspector Jacobs, and City Recorder Peterson. City <br />Attorney Barrett was also present. <br />CONSENT AGENDA* <br />It was moved by Counci lmembr,r Frahr , seconded by <br />Councilmember Adams, to approve the Consent Agenda* <br />subject to removal of Item #21 (Planning Commission <br />Appointment). Motion, Ayes 3, Nays 0. <br />APPROVAL. OF MINUTES* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Frahm, seconde(-: by <br />Councilmember Adams, to approve the Minutes of the <br />February 24, 1986 Council meeting. Motion, Ayes 3, Nays 0. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS <br />Planning Commission Chairman Kelley was present. He <br />stated that they would appreciate involvement by the <br />community regarding the Highway 12 Corridor project, the <br />more people that show up the better f.cr everyone. <br />PUBLIC. COMMENTS <br />At this time, Jerry Wheeler, 3399 Crystal Bay Rd., read <br />a petition signed by approximately 100 signers <br />--equesting the reappointment of William Sime to the <br />Planning Commission. He noted that there was alot of <br />disappointment voiced about the apparent lack of respect <br />for the publics' desires by the City Council. He asked <br />the City Council to explain why two other Planning <br />Commission representatives were reaPi3inted and Mr. Sime <br />was not. <br />Mayor Butler stated that she has already stated for the <br />record her feelings regarding the subject which are in <br />the minutes from the December 9, 1985 Council meeting. <br />Counc. nember Adams responded by stating that the <br />Council was ready to make the two appointments made and <br />were not ready to make the third appointment for reasons <br />which are in the public record. <br />Mr. Wheeler asked Councilmember Adams if that reason was <br />because Mr. Sime was not a "team player"? <br />
