City of ORONO ' t' t G <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL APR 1 -1 191'2 <br />GENERAL COMMENDATION <br />ROSEMARY RuSEDAHL <br />WHEREAS, on Sunday, February 23, 1986, an armed roobery <br />was committed at the Snyders Drug Store in the City of Long Lake, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, through the efforts of Rosemary losedahI the <br />suspect was apprehended and has been charged wi,:h aggravated <br />robbery by the Hennepin County Attorney's office; :„d <br />WHEREAS, Rosemary Rosedahl provided iolice with a <br />description of the suspect and on February ,.14, 1186, when the <br />suspect telephoned her, she engaged him it 3 telephon., <br />conversation for approximately one and a half hours during which <br />time Ncrthwestern Bell Security had ample time to trace the <br />telephone call thereby enabling the coordination of law <br />enforcement personnel. from Hennepin County, Orono Police, Ramsey <br />County Sheriffs Department and New Brighton Police to apprehend <br />the suspect; and <br />WHEREAS, an alert and cooperative citizenry is essential <br />to maintaining law and order; and <br />WHEREAS the City of Orono wishes to commend and <br />encourage the involvement of its residents i.i the overall <br />protection of the community; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of <br />the City of Orono hereby highly commends Rosemary Rosedahl on the <br />above stated actions and express their gratitude that Rosemary <br />Rosedahl is willing to step foreward and be counted protecting <br />the community and maintaining it as i safc place to live and <br />conduct business. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, <br />Minnesota at a regular meeting held Apr,.! 14, 1986. <br />ATTEST: <br />Dorothy M. <br />
