MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING HELD APRIL 21, 1986 <br />91011 EXCELSIOR BAY YACHT CLUB continued <br />7. Providing a dock, keyed phone, key to gazebo for <br />Water Patrol. <br />8.City has the rig:lt to review and/or revoke <br />conditional use permit sooner upon complaint. <br />9. Certificate of liability insurance to be provided <br />yearly. <br />10. If need arises, applicant will supply a night <br />attendant. <br />11. Applicant to submit a copy of the Commodore <br />Club's rules and regulations yearly. <br />Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 1. Callahan voted nay. <br />It was noted that no more work (or materials <br />accumulation) should be done on the island without the <br />appropriate permits. <br />(LL14AIG ISLAND VETERAN'S CAMP <br />RNCORD LOT i7 <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />PUBLIC HEARING 8:23 - 9:40 <br />The Affidavit <br />was noted. <br />of Publication and Certificate of Mailing <br />Zoning Administrator Mabusth explained the application <br />for a temporary Conditional Use Permit to permit <br />overnight camping by the island workers involved in the <br />clean up for the Big Island Veteran's Camp. <br />Present for this matter were Jim Lund, Leonard Carlton, <br />and Stu Gorney representing the Big Island Board of <br />Governors. Also present on applicants behalf was Joe <br />Backes who also owns p:-operty on Big Island. <br />Mr. Lund stated that the work will be done mainly i:v <br />volunteer workers and scout troops on weekends. He <br />noted that they have acquired insurance liability which <br />covers the volunteers. <br />Mr. Lund noted that they would like to keep the <br />boathouse. <br />Zoning Administrator Mabusth stated that the boathouse <br />has been det mined to be a hazardous building and has <br />been orderer _o be removed. <br />Taylor stated a limit of number ui persons at one time <br />should be set. <br />It was suggested 1 acre per person which would equal 57 <br />people. <br />10 <br />
