P.'&ked <br />up guests from the <br />GraA <br />Excelsior public docks and-e*4 t-x to the camp for the cerenony.-e-t- <br />J, - o _ �ti i <br />-i2 Veterans and their families ta bring picnic <br />lunchs for a great afternoon of fun and fellowship. <br />After years of renovation by a corps of dedicated volunteers, <br />the 58 acre island camp will again become a restful haven and RiR <br />spot for all the Veteran's of Minnesota and their families. The <br />camp will operate first as a day recreation camp where any — teran <br />or his family may bring their own picnic for a day of fun, sun and <br />and relaxation. It is expected that the camp will be ready for <br />overnight tent campers with'n several months, pending additional <br />work and the necessary license and permit approvals. Long range <br />plans include the construction of picnic/cooking snelters as well as <br />Nandi -capped accessible cabins. <br />Mark Peterson, the camp manager, alnost grew up at the camp, <br />- 1 - <br />
