Zoning File 01277 <br />Page 2 <br />Mork Crew - Conditional Use Permit (Effective May 23, 1988 through July 1, <br />1988) - The applicant seeks ren3wal of the work crew permit that would <br />allow them to remove all fins_ hazardous conditions on the site. 32 of the <br />43 structures have been removed, the remaining 11 excluding the caretaker <br />house and the � .-il '4.ngs defined -oz, stctage structur.+s must be boarded up <br />and secured p%ic: t- opening to the pub'- Debris from the raztd.'burned <br />structures must be removed or put in an rrrved burying area. Trie debris <br />not to be buried must be secured with fer -id screened from public way. <br />The job of the work crew will be to prep ramp for the c-penirg to the <br />public for day use re•:reation. <br />Resolution 1988, enclosed for your consideration, lists the special <br />conditions under which the work crews operated in previous years. 6c::ff <br />will amend the original conditions of that s:esoll,tion to more fit the <br />project for this vears work crew. The cond tions recommended are as <br />follows: <br />1. Crew to be limited to 57 workers - family members and friends are <br />not to be on camp site for the duration of the temporary permit. <br />2. Workers shall us4 portable gas stoves and charcoil grills for <br />cooking - open burning to be approved by Orono Fire inspector. <br />3. Tenting is allowed only for work crews. The aut!,orized caretaker <br />Mark Peterson, shall be the only person to remain permanently on site <br />for tt.x duration of the temporary permit. <br />4. The facility shall be inspects. -' by the Orc..o staff on a regular <br />basis durinq the clean up program. <br />5. Hazardous buildings are not to be occupiA by work crews I•-} are <br />to remain boarded up and secured from public. <br />6. Fire extinguishers must be provided on te. <br />7. Two septic facilities/structures have peen approved for 1 .e by <br />the work crews and are defined as the South hill (Point Charming <br />Structure) and the Peanut Row facility, per Section 4630.0900 of the <br />State Health Code. A single shower must be provided for men and women <br />based on 57 crew members. The water supply hau been approved by the <br />Orono Staff and awaits state certification. <br />S. The clean up program shall be ed to the following <br />activities: <br />A. Cleaning, grading, and seeding of all areas disturbed with <br />burning and razing of old structures. <br />B. Clean up and burning of debris/brush. <br />C. The burning of approved debris in the approved defined area <br />by the Orono s•.4f r. <br />D.
