i ORONO <br />kESOL-., _ OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br />A VARIANCE TO <br />MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.55, SUBDIVISION 8 <br />AND SECTION 10.22, SUBDIVISIONS 1 and 2 <br />FILE #1006 <br />WHEREAS, Dale & Chris Palm (hereinafter "the applicants") <br />are the owners of the property located at 1710 Shadywood Road within <br />the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") and legally described as <br />follows: <br />That pa,.t of Lot 11 lying Southerly of the following describeu <br />line: Beginning at the Southwest corner of the North 14 feet of <br />said Lot; thence South 87 degrees 27 minutes East to the shore of <br />Crystal Bay Lake Minnetonka; and that part of Lot 12, lying <br />Northerly of a line drawn parallel with and distant 71.2 feet <br />Northerly, measured at right angles from the Southerly line of <br />Lot 13, all in Shadywood, and addition to the County of Hennepin <br />in the Township of Orono. <br />WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to the City for a <br />variance to Municipal 71ning Code Sections 10.55, Subdivision 8 and <br />Section 10.22, Subdivisions 1 and 2 to permit the nstruction of an <br />addition and attached garage which Will constitute additional <br />structure and excessive hardcover in the 0-75 lakeshore setback zone <br />where structures and hardcover are not normally allowed, and which <br />will increase hardcover in the 75-250' lakeshore setback zone to more <br />than the 25% normally allowed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ,.VED by the City Council of Orono, <br />Mir:�esotr� . <br />FINDINGS <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1006. <br />2. The pro; y is located in the T,R-lC Single Family Lakeshore <br />Residential zoning District. <br />3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on <br />February 18, 1986, and recommended approval of the proposed <br />variances based upon the following findings: <br />rage 1 of 4 <br />
