My t.han.ks to those of you who arve me the chance
to serve my cornmunity. In r^y opinion, I have served the residents
of Orono faithfully tine, well.
y heartfelt thanks to my co.Lleaaues for their kind words and
surport expressed after the PC meeting December 16th. That nonF:it
touched me deeply. To be well thought of by the people ..ou hav(.
worked with for three years is a wonderful tribute.
I 4m proud of they t-hincrs I have had a part in accomplisning that
have benefited the residents of Orono. I have served my Com.."iunity
FIv
1. Organizing many of our taxpayers to protest the
excessive increases in property valuation four
years ago.
2. I WAS not politically clot i-
vatol. I dial what I felt was right and what would bent serve
the cor"rtunity --- not me personally. Tt was expensive and lonely.
I have been told that I will not he re -appointed to the r'lan-
r.inq Comission. I can live with that. But my motives were
pure, and I do feel I have ir^proved the lot of the 'crucified
taxpayers' of Orono in very obvious and demonstrable ways. The
residents of Orono have been saved hundreds of thousands of
dollars oocause of my actions. J art proud of r+y c.ontriNitions
to the citizens of Orono.
It truly saddens me that the Council has misunderstood my
motivws.
