MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL ME'•:';[NG HELD JANUARY 27, 1986 <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND REDEVELOPMENT <br />City Administrator reviewed his memo regarding <br />redevelopment strategy and level of city's involvement. <br />Mayor Butler stated that her point of view, especially <br />in the Navarre area, is the City could function as a <br />catalyst to improve the aesthetics of the retail <br />businesses. <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Adams, that the City Council direct staff in the <br />approaches and directions staff should take in working <br />on the issue of community development over the next few <br />months. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />LAKE MINNETONKA USE. AND ACCESS <br />RESOLUTION #1915 <br />ORDINANCES <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Hammerel, that the City Council adopt Resolution #1915 <br />which consititutes Or.ono's contingent commitment of <br />parking spots in Zone 1 of Lake Minnetonka. Motion, <br />Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson reviewed the `ollowing <br />ordinances: <br />Administrative/Personnel - Ordinan(-e No. 18 Second Series <br />- <br />It was moved by Councilmember Adams, seconded by <br />Councilmember Frahm, that the Council adopt the changes <br />proposed by staff to Ordinance 2.06, 2.07, 2.11 and that <br />the Council approve the summary for publication. <br />Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />Special Events <br />and Parades <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Hammerel, to direct staff to come back with appropriate <br />changes to Ordinances 5.25 and 6.08 at the February 10, <br />1-986 Council meeting. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />Open Burning - <br />Ordinance No. 19 Spr_ond Series_ <br />It was moved by Councilmember Frahm, seconded by <br />Councilmember Adams, that the Council :adopt Ordinance <br />No. 9.30 as amended. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />Fire Department <br />- Ordinance No. 20 Second Series <br />It was moved by Councilmember Frahm, seconded by Mayor <br />Butler, that the Council adopt Ordinance No. 2.32 as <br />amended and approve plub 1 i cation of the summary attached <br />thereto.
