12186.6 <br />TO: Mayor and City Council. <br />0 AWL hit ING <br />FROM: Mark Bernhardson, City Administrato�'� <br />J4 27 1986 <br />DATE: January17 1986 <br />SUBJECT: Lake Minnetonka Use and Access CITY OF ORONO <br />Attached please find a possible resolution based on information <br />provided to gate plus the discussion last time which provides for <br />three items: <br />- Orono's contingent commitment relating to parking <br />spots within 1500 feet of the North Arm acc, s based on <br />no additional accesses and a specific agreemtnt from <br />D.N.R. that they will not place any in the future. <br />- Endorsing the concept of a fee for Lake Minnetonka. <br />- As off-street parking is developed in the area that <br />appropriate parking limitations be posted on -street to <br />re,iuce the public safety concerns. <br />Currently rough engineering estimates for development of the two <br />off street sites are being don` at no expense to the City. <br />Should there be feasible and the approp rate development of those <br />sites is to be further explored we would have Bonestroo do a more <br />extensive review. <br />Should there be other items that you would like to include as a <br />rational for this resolution or other items which you feel should <br />be "involved" we would appreciate your comments. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by , seconded by , that the City <br />Counci) adopt resolution nuV)er __ which constitutes Orono's <br />contingent commitment of parking spots in zone 1 of Lake <br />Minnetonka.
