MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD DECEMBER 9, 1985 <br />LI ,—t0CP STORE. OPERATIONS <br />City Administrator Bernhardson reviewed with the Council <br />staf f's memo regarding the liquor store operations and <br />the strategic business pla► or 1986. <br />It. was moves] by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Hammerel, that the Council take under advisement the <br />information 5iven by staff and that the item be placed <br />on the agenda for January 13, 1986 for discussion. <br />Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />LAKE MINNETONKA USE AND ACCESS <br />City Administrator Bernhardson reported on the direction <br />taken by the Metro Council Task Force which is <br />recommending that nc additional access points be <br />established on Lake Minnetonka should the communities <br />involved provide the necessary 700 secured parking <br />spots. <br />It was moved gay Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Adams, that the staff be directed to express counci l's <br />direction regarding Lake Minnetonka use and access at <br />the appropriate meetinq between now --id . the January 13, <br />1986 meeting. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />M�NNY.HAHA CREEK WATERSHED - <br />LAKE MINNETONKA LAKE LEVEL POLICY <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Hammerel, that, staff transmit to the Minnehaha Creek <br />Watershed District the Cournci11s concerns and <br />recomm )dat.io,ns as it relates to their _xisting lake <br />level .ontrol. policy in preparation for its renewal. <br />Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />HEALTH INSURANCE <br />City Administrator Bernhardson reviewed s•_.aff <br />recommendations for non -union health insurance for 1986. <br />CITY VEHIC'LK PO IACY <br />It was moved by Councilmember Adams, seconded by <br />r'ounci l member Grabak, to approve Recommendation A and <br />table Recommendations B & C for further discussion. <br />Motion, Ayes `.,Nays 0. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Adams, seconded by <br />Councilmember Iiammere 1 , to adopt the pc 1 icy statement <br />regart_ ing use of City owned vehicles as presented. <br />Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION AND PARK C(N U SS I ON <br />APPOINTMENTS FOR 1906 <br />City Administrator Bernhardson reported that Planning <br />Commission members Kelley, Taylor, and Sime's terms were <br />up and Park Commission member Lester Kel ley's term is <br />Llp.
