MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD DECEMBER 9, 1985 <br />SUBURBAN HENNEPIN COUNTY PARK DISTRICT <br />PRESENTATION AND NOERENBERG PARR <br />Representing the Suburban Hennepin Regional Park <br />District. were Marty Jessen, Neil Weber, and Bob <br />Wicklund. <br />Mr. Jess_ n explained the background cf the Park <br />District's tructure noting that Minneapolis is no <br />longer a pz-t of the Park District. He reported the <br />significant `hanges within the past year. <br />Mr. Jessen ( esented a proposed site plan for Nuerenberg <br />Park. <br />At this poi , a short slide and sound presentation w&s <br />made regarr _i� j tl, - makeup and budget of ti ! He noted that based <br />on is ct rent code, the building is in conformance <br />baseo t.n the mean" height. <br />Zoning Admin tratur Mabust.h noted that regarding the <br />issue of grac q and filling, a landscape plan will be <br />submitted. al. g with an application for an after -the - <br />fact conditio 1 use permit to the Planning Commission <br />at their Janu, y meeting. <br />Councilmember lams stated that he felt a maximum height <br />should be ad( essed in the ordinance rather than a <br />"mean" height. <br />Zoning Adminis Bator Mnbusth stated that she felt being <br />more restrict 4e in height might tend to dictate the <br />size and desig of homes. <br />M.L. and Virg.nia Sweatt, 3225 Bohn's Point Lane, were <br />present for this matter. Mrs. Sweatt stated that she <br />felt the height. and massiveness of the structure does <br />not conform with the spirit of Bohn's Point. She <br />believes the City !should have maximum size restrictions. <br />Councilmember Hammerel stated he felt projects this size <br />should be presented before the Council for review before <br />issuance of a building permit even though they conform <br />with existinq wile. <br />It was moved by Counci lmemter Grabek, seconded by Mayor <br />Butler, to accept the information from staff regarding <br />the Ulrich property and continue to maintain a <br />vigilance of the property.
