MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD JANUARY 13, 1986 #996 JAMES MCNAUGHTON continued suitable undcr a fu' 1-year usage and in this climate. James McNaughton was present for this matter and stated that the original proposal was not designed for permanent daily use. He also noted the need for a turn around for safe access onto Shadywood Road. Assistant Zoning Administrator 'Saffron further explained the new proposed plan, noting that applicant had demonstrated he could install j paved driveway which would increase hardcover to just under 35%. Councilmember .Frahm stated that he felt stronqly about not granting additional variances, especially regarding hardcover, to new pro sects like this one which were previously granted a variance to be allowed to be built. It was moved by C:unci.lm.ember Hammerel, seconded t,y Councilmember Grabek to adopt Resolution #1908 approving the variance P' loreing a maximum of 35% hardcover. Motion, Ayes " Jays 1. Councilmember Frahm voted nay based on his p.,evious comments. #997 EUGENE ROSENTHAL* 640 TONKAWA ROAD PRELIMINARY SUBDIVISION It was moved by Councilmember Frahm, seconded by Councilmember Hammerel, to approve the preliminary subditiision as proposed. Motion, Ayes 4 Nays 0. #998 MAUREEN S. BELLOWS* 265 BROWN ROAD SOUTH PRELIMINARY SUBDIVIS-ON Charles a-d Maureen Bellows were present for this matter. It was moved by Counci lmemLer Fra' m, seconded by Councilmember Hammerel, to approve the preliminary subdivision as proposed. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. #1000 WILLIAM WEAR 2160 WAYZATA BOUIVVARD VARIANCE RESOLUTION C1ty Admiri.strator Bernhardscn explained the request for a variance to add additional signage for shopping center use. William wear was present for this matter. He stated that he is requesting to put a 21' sign by the East driveway for a tenant which proposes a time and temperature sign which lists the tenants name also. 10
