TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: <br />STREET CONSTRUCTIOiJ 6 MAINTENANCE MATERIALS <br />DEFINITION: The purpose of these specific3tionsis to take competitive <br />biTs-Tor -the furnishing and hauling of street construction and <br />maintenance materials to and for the City of Orono. Furnished <br />materials are to be bid at the source, and delivered materials are to be <br />placed in the City where indicated by qualified representatives of the <br />City. No estimate of quantities is available and the City does not <br />guarantee to purchase any minimum quantity. <br />MINNESO_TA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SPECIFICATIONS: References to <br />MnDot_ shall indicate the standard specs ication for highway <br />construction by the Minnesota Department of Transportation dated <br />,January 1, 1979. <br />AGGREGATE SPECIFICATIONS: Class 5 gravel base and class 5 recycled <br />blacktop/Gravel base shall meet MnDot specifications 3138. <br />METHOD OF PAYMENT: Payment shall be made by one of the following <br />methods.- <br />(1) Price per tort loaded into City trucks by contractor at hi pit. <br />(2) Price of material per tore delivered to Orono in contractor's <br />trucks. <br />BITUMINOUS PLANT MIX: Bituminous plant mix shall conform to MnDot <br />5peci ation 233� with BA-2 aggregate or MnDot specification 2341 <br />with BA-1 aggregate. The aggro ate in 2341 Modified (fine mix) must <br />pass 100% thru 1/2" sieve size <br />METHOD OF PAYMENT: Payment shall made at the bid price per ton at the <br />p ant, Te17veceTto the site of ti works, or placed on the street with <br />contractor's paver, rollers, tr v ks and cre,.a.
