To receive credit for ■ick leave, an employee must <br />communicate with the employee's immediate supervisor <br />prior to the time set for beginning work, or as provided <br />by departmental rules. Employees are also responsible <br />for keeping their supervisor advise: of their illness <br />status to remain exigible for sacs leave, unless <br />hnspitalkzed, in wh:rh case reasonable efforts will be <br />made to keep the Supervisor abreast of tr.v employee' <br />status. <br />f. Any employee using sick leave or absent from cork doe t:7 <br />an injury incurred during hours i! employment may be <br />required to furnish the City with a physician's statement <br />indicating the nature of the sickness or injury, and <br />attesting to the employee's inability to work.
