23.3. In addition, any hours over 960 hours accrued shall go into a catastrophic sick leave bank <br />which may be used any time the person is sick for more than 30 consecutive calendar days. The <br />maximum accrued in this bank is 320 hours and is not useable for severance purposes under Article <br />24. <br />23.4. Bereavement Leave. All Full-time regular Employees will be allowed up to 3 consecutive <br />working days paid funeral leave, if requested. This time will not be deducted from any accruals of <br />the Employee. This applies for the death of immediate family. Immediate family members include <br />child (natural, step, adopted or foster), spouse or registered, domestic partner, siblings, (natural, <br />step, adopted or foster), parent (biological, step or foster), grandchild (natural, step, adopted or <br />foster), grandparent (natural or step), a child of a sibling of the employee, a sibling of the parents <br />of the employee, a child -in-law, or sibling -in-law, any member of the family members listed of a <br />spouse or registered domestic partner. <br />23.5 Minnesota Paid Family and Medical leave Act. Beginning January 1, 2026, the employer <br />shall contribute the statutory obligation. If the Employee qualifies for both Minnesota Paid Leave <br />and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) program for the leave, they must take both <br />programs concurrently. <br />ARTICLE 24 SEVERANCE PAY <br />24.1 Accumulated sick leave balance <br />Each employee with at least three (3) years, but less than twelve (12) years, of service with the <br />EMPLOYER will receive, upon honorable termination of employment, one-third (1/3) of the <br />employee's accumulated sick leave as severance pay. Each employee with twelve (12) years or <br />more of service with the Employer will receive, upon honorable termination, one-half (1/2) of the <br />employee's accumulated sick leave as severance pay. Upon honorable termination, the <br />employee's sick leave balance shall be paid into the Post Employment Health Care Savings Plan <br />as defined in this labor agreement. <br />24.2 Accumulated Vacation and Comp Time balances <br />Each employee will have their unused vacation and comp time balances paid out in cash to the <br />employee upon termination of employment. <br />ARTICLE 25 POST EMPLOYMENT HEALTH CARE SAVINGS ACCOUNT <br />Each employee shall participate in the Minnesota Post Employment Health Care Savings Plan <br />(HCSP) established under Minnesota Statues section 352.98. All funds collected by the employer <br />on behalf on the employees shall be deposited into their individual HCSP. Commencing January <br />1, 2023, each employee shall contribute 2% of salary to their PEHCSP. The employer shall deduct <br />this amount from the employees payroll check. <br />ARTICLE 26 POST LICENSE/TRAINING <br />26.1 The EMPLOYER shall pay the cost of the employee's POST license fees. <br />223749v5 <br />77 <br />
