North Shore Drive <br />August 21, 1985 <br />Page 3 <br />While the City has looked at the possiblity of putting a make ready <br />dock off its fire access to reduce trespassing on the docks, the residents <br />at this time do not feel that it is necessary and we are not recommending <br />that this be done at this time. If the other measures do not elimiate the <br />problems identified, however, this may be an option to explore. <br />B. That the City adopt a resolution that the County make a 5-year <br />commitment with the LMCD for all the spots along North Shore Drive. <br />Both this resolution and the agreement should include that this <br />commitment can be terminated if specific public safety problems arise <br />necessitating that the parking be reduced or eliminated. It is addi- <br />tional recommended that the spots beyond 1500 feet on North Shore <br />Drive continue to have parking as they may provide parking for people <br />using the public access in the early and late winter. <br />Kathleen Wallace, the regional coordinator for DNR, will be present <br />should you have any questions regarding access on west and south sides of <br />the lake. <br />Should you have further questions or commants, please feel free to <br />contact me. <br />
