PAGE 3 <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />continued <br />Mr. Krutzig stated that in reviewing this with the Police <br />Dept. they did find some narrow areas in which no parking on <br />one side would need to be posted. Mr. Krutzig felt that the <br />area could accomadate about 80 cars safely and he would be <br />prepared to pay for any damage done. Mr. Krutzig, as part <br />owner, stated he had planned to approach the other owners of <br />the circle to request permission for parking as has been done <br />in the past for neighborhood parties. <br />J. Carpenter, President of the Minneapolis Builders <br />Association was present per Mr. Krutzig's request. Mr. <br />Carpenter explained the benefits of having Mr. Krutzig's <br />house shown in the Para,?e of Homes and feels that the <br />neighbors, developer and Police Dept. should work together <br />to come up with a reasonable solution to allow this activity <br />for the few weekends involved. <br />Also present in the audience for this matter were: Carol J. <br />Owens,1700 Bohns Pt. Rd., Terry Feldmann,1725 Bohns Pt. <br />Rd. <br />It was moved by Mayor Butler, seconded by Councilmember <br />Adams, to direct staff to work with the neighbors, builder, <br />and Police Dept., and City Administrator to establish the <br />guideliies for this activity to occur. Motion, Ayes (3), <br />Nays (0). <br />ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />#876 RANDY ASPLUND <br />3424 EASTLAKE STREET <br />RESOLUTION #1820 <br />Mr. Randy Asplund was not present. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained that clarifi- <br />cation was needed in regard to the additional issue of <br />removing the plastic underlying the rockbeds. Staff has <br />incorporated it in the drafted resolution for Council <br />review. <br />Councilmember Frahm wanted it to go on record that he felt <br />uncomfortable with making a decision about a hardcover issue <br />which is still unclear. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Frahm, seconded by <br />Councilmember Adams to adopt Resolution 01820 subject to <br />these amendments: Under Conclusions, Order and Conditions - <br />Item 1. changing deadlines date from September 1, 1985 to <br />September 30, 1985; Item c,. deleting "or shall perforate the <br />plastic so that it meets City staff'e approval as non- <br />hart-tcover.
