city of OR ONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. <br />11. Two by four rafters are used in porch area with no bearing <br />at one end. <br />12. Deck from kitchen is in a state of disrepair and <br />guardrails are not provided. <br />13. Roof leaks by skylight and has damaged the interior finish <br />on ceiling. <br />14. Roof leaks at northwest dormer. <br />15. Fascia board is rotten. <br />16. Cellar door is rotten and caving in. <br />17. Building has been vandalized. <br />18. Several windows are broken. <br />19. The surrounding area around the building contains high <br />weeds and brush which creates a fire hazard. <br />20. Building is in a state of deterioration and dilapidation, <br />thus it is a safety and health hazard pursuant to <br />Minnesota State Building Code/Uniform Building Code, <br />Section 203. <br />21. Orders to remove the structure were issued by the Building <br />Official on August 31, 1984, and May 22, 1985. These <br />orders have not been complied with. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: <br />1. That the City Counci 1 of the City of Orono, pursuant to the <br />foregoing findings and in accordance with Minnesota <br />Statutes Sections 463.15 to 463.261 hereby orders the <br />owners) of the Big Island Veteran's Camp property to raze <br />and remove or repair the structure on the property. <br />2. The City Council of the City of Orono further orders that <br />unless this corrective action is taken or an answer is <br />served upon the City of Orono and filed in the Office of the <br />Clerk of District Court of Hennepin County, Minnesota, <br />within twenty (20) days from the date of the service of <br />this order, a motion for summary enforcement. of this order <br />will I)e made at District Court. of Hennepin County. <br />Paye 2 of 3 <br />
