Contract No. 50324 <br />COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made between the County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota, <br />hereinafter referred to as the "County" and the City of Hopkins, hereinafter <br />referred to as the "City". <br />WITNESSETH; <br />WHEREAS, yard wastes make up 9b of all municipal solid waste in the <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, yard wastes can be &,'�'_d into compost, useful as a soil <br />conditioner and bedding material ndit <br />WHEREAS, the County )�d'ard H ' do solution No. 80-11-930, a policy to <br />process leaves and grass iAto tempo t Si lities which establish a <br />composting site(s); and C..7 �/' <br />A <br />WHEREAS, the City has esta'Aishe ,a co �OsZt •te and desires to <br />with Hennepin County in composting operate. participate <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY REED; <br />S_ T N 1.0 <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES OF CITY OF HOPKINS <br />A. <br />The <br />City <br />will establish a yard- ste omposting site of <br />approximately 2 acres of fairly el, <br />well -drained land. <br />B. <br />The <br />City <br />agrees to provide any <br />necessary to monitor the site's <br />operation. <br />C. <br />The <br />City <br />will collect and haul yard <br />wastes to the sites. <br />D. <br />The <br />City <br />agrees to provide personnel <br />and necessary equipment to water <br />the <br />yard <br />wastes. <br />E. The City agrees to secure the water necessary for watering. <br />F. The City will promote the receiving of compost at the site(s) and <br />the availability of compost in the city's newsletter; if applicable. <br />
