City of ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. <br />GENERAL COMMENDATION <br />JAMES RICK <br />WHEREAS, on Sunday, April 28, 1985, a burglary was <br />committed at the offices of Dr. Ohmann, 2160 West Wayzata <br />Boulevard, in Orono; and <br />WHEREAS, the efforts of James Rick resulted in the <br />arrest and charge of an individual for second degree burglary in <br />connection with the breakin; and <br />WHEREAS, James Rick followed the suspect and not only <br />obtained a license number of the vehicle together with a good <br />description.,but a1sc was able to observe the suspect dropping <br />items as he ran and subsequently participated in a lineup in <br />identifying the suspect; and <br />WHEREAS, an alert and cooperative citizenry is essential <br />to maintaining law and order; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono wishes to commend and <br />encourage the involvment of its residents in the overall <br />protection of the community and, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of <br />the City of Orono hereby highly commends James Rick on the above <br />listed actions and express their gratitude, that James Rick is <br />willing to step foreward and be counted protecting Orono and <br />maintaining it as a safe place to live. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, <br />Minnesota at a regular meeting held May 28, 1985. <br />ATTEST: <br />Mary C.
