costs to be paid out of City funds, which could result in an <br />increase in property taxes of the entire city. <br />The proposed assessment roll is on file for public inspection at <br />the office of the City Clerk. The total cost of the improvement <br />to be specially assessed is $900,000. Written or oral objections <br />will be considered at the hearing. <br />No appeal may be taken as to any amount of any assessment unless <br />a written objection signed by the affected property owner is <br />f i led with the City Clerk prior to the assessment hearing or is <br />presented to the presiding officer at the hearing. If such <br />written objection is so filed, the owner may appeal an assessment <br />to District Court pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 429.081 <br />by serving notice of the appeal upon the Mayor or City Clerk <br />within 30 days after the adoption of the assessment and filing <br />such notice with the district court within 10 days after service <br />upon the Mayor or City Clerk. <br />owners of homestead property who are 65 years or older may apply <br />for a deferment of the special assessment if they meet the <br />criteria set forth in City Council Resolution #1093. <br />By order of the City Council <br />/s/ Dorothy M.
